Silicone Rubber Sheet with Cloth Insert
Production description of Silicone Rubber Sheet with Cloth Insert
Cloth Insertion silicone rubber sheeting is manufactured from commercial silicone rubber with a single ply cloth reinforcement. This provides an increased tensile strength and tear resistance over standard commercial silicone rubber sheeting.
Features
Reinforced Silicone is designed for use in applications where stresses are typically static and pressures are usually low. Cloth inserted silicone rubber has a fabric featuring flame & heat resistance, excellent dimensional stability, inert to most common chemicals, high strength to weight ratios, fungus and mildew resistant.
Application
Commonly used in gaskets. Reinforced silicone rubber can be used as a flange gasket where bolt or compression loads are so high that non reinforced rubber would squeeze or extrude out between the flanges. Typical applications include meters, control devices, welding curtains, regulators, pumps.
